Our goal

We are working on WCAG 2.2 AA on this website. This standard is our goal for structure, color, keyboard usage, and content, and guides us as we create and review each page.

What we have done so far

Accessibility is part of the structure of these pages and not a layer added at the end. Specifically:

• Semantic structure. Pages use real headings, landmarks, lists, and buttons, allowing assistive technology to announce the layout and let you browse in the correct order.
• Keyboard-operated navigation. The main navigation, the drop-down menus as well as all links and controls can be accessed and operated using the keyboard alone. Menus can be opened, closed and focused without a mouse.
• Visible focus. The element you are on shows a clear focus outline, so you always know where you are on the page.
• Reduced movement. If your system requires reduced movement, we respect that preference and reduce movements and transitions.
• Readable contrast. The colors of the text and interface are chosen so that the contrast remains easy to read in both the light and dark versions of the website.

An ongoing effort

This is not a finished work. We test as we build, we test again when pages change, and we fix problems as we find them. Some gaps will almost certainly remain, and honest feedback is the quickest way for us to close them.
